After revamping the Chequers Playgroup site several months back, another of the very first websites I built through LessFuss Design got a facelift at the weekend. Relish Restaurant & Bar, in Newton Flotman, Norwich, has had a redesign and rebuild so the owners Jeremy & Rachael Parke can manage all the content themselves – using WordPress, and a handfull of plugins to make their life even easier. Chequers Playgroup
was one of the first sites I did when I started freelancing in 2007. At the time I was one of the Committee members, so I took care of the site content and kept everything up to date. Recently the Committee members asked me to update the site so they could look after it themselves now I’m no longer a member. And because I can’t help myself sometimes, I also tinkered with the design… Continue reading ‘Spring clean for Chequers Playgroup’ »
The second charity site I’ve worked on recently (the other being the Green Light Trust site) is a small website for the Hempnall Trust, a charity in my village that gives grants to those in the parish experiencing need, hardship or distress. Continue reading ‘New site: Hempnall Trust’ »
I’m pleased to say that after many hours of effort – mainly from Tom Haczewski
, but with a bit from myself and other colleagues at Virgin Money
– the new brand identity and website for the Green Light Trust
has been launched. Continue reading ‘Green light for new charity website’ »
Given the last site in my portfolio was from November last year and it’s now almost summer, I’m thinking it looks like I’ve either a) called it a day or b) got no work to be getting on with. Rather than putting up a tumbleweed animation on the homepage, here’s a quick update on what I’m working on instead. Continue reading ‘Projects update’ »
After seven years at South Norfolk Council I’m leaving to join the E-Commerce Team at Virgin Money. In the end it was an easy decision – not so much to do with it being more money (which nonetheless is very nice), but because it’s a new challenge in a new environment. The council’s been good to me, and I’ve been good to them. Time to move on. Continue reading ‘Off to Virgin Money’ »
The second (and biggest) project of the summer was an online shop for vending equipment company Back 2 Business Vending Ltd. – www.back2businessvending.co.uk. This was a joint effort between myself (XHTML, CSS & blog), Codeability (online shop) and Ballyhoo Design (visual design). Continue reading ‘Back 2 Business Vending site launched’ »
I know it doesn’t look like I’ve been up to much but it’s been a busy summer working on two projects, one of which is a site for Rosie Smith of Paws Indoors, the mobile vet service. The site is now live with a set of cuddly (and one not so cuddly) animals on the homepage. Continue reading ‘Paws Indoors website launched’ »
To celebrate LessFuss Design being a year old, and because I can’t help tinkering with things, I’ve given my own site a complete revamp. This isn’t just a cosmetic touch up though. By starting a blog and learning how to use the excellent WordPress publishing platform, I’m ready to build websites that clients can look after themselves. And at a damn good price too. Continue reading ‘LessFuss re-Design’ »
